Coming August 2013 - DENTELLE! Book 3 in the Guardian Series!

In between teaching and life in general, I am diligently working on book three in the Guardian series - DENTELLE! Look for it sometime this August! :)

Super excited to be back in Lexi's world again. Sometimes when I get writing - the hours just fly by, I'm so engaged that I forget to eat lunch, and then when I look up at the clock it's suddenly 5:00 p.m. and I realize I'm late picking up the kids up from cross country or soccer. Not to mention, I haven't even started dinner yet! Yikes!

    1. Hi Alisha! Thanks for inquiring. I thought about putting part of the first chapter on here but decided that would be a cruel teaser. I haven't written a blurb for the book yet, but when I do I will let you know! Until then, Happy Reading! :)

    1. Working diligently....well, in between teaching, end-of-the-year craziness and general mother and wife duties. The final countdown, June 19th - school is out - and then I will be deep into Dentelle, wrapping it up and making sure it will be out in August!

  8. Yes I'm back... When I read a story, I always have some kind of picture in my head of what the characters look like.. EX.. Brad Pit would be an amazing Ash, when Brad wears his hair long, but I'm stumped about Jason... And that really bothers me. I've read both books and I still can not picture a Jason. Does anyone else do this? Who do you picture Jason as? Just thought I'd ask...

    1. Dear Cshell,
Thanks a bunch for the kind words! I'm on the final countdown...5 full days of school left! But wow, I wish I was doing nothing but writing - I'm right in the middle of a chapter with some excitement and it's soooo difficult to walk away from the computer and go into "mom mode" or go to work. Happy reading!

    1. Thanks for commenting! I love hearing from readers! I wish I could give you a date but life is pretty crazy. Just know that I am in the midst of the last few chapters and having a heck of a good time writing! A few twists and turns in this one...and Lexi does a little traveling across country! I will say no more..... :)

  15. Hi Heather
I absolutely love these books - I have totally fallen in love with the characters and read both books within 2 days my 3 children and husband got no sense out of me the whole time haha!!! I love how you reference Jason as looking like Paul Walker gives us a clear picture of him - I see Ash as his complete opposite a bit like Ian Somerhalder with longer hair. Is book 3 going to be the end or will there be another to follow? Can't wait for August xx

    1. Hi Mandy!
Thanks for commenting on my blog. So, you've asked that loaded question...will there be another book? Yes. No. Maybe. I have some ideas for different adventures that's for sure. And book 3 introduces a few new players so that I can take off and explore some new angles...but it probably won't be for awhile if I do. Feel like I've neglected family a bit, and there are a ton of things to do around here. Not to mention my dad passed away a couple months ago and my mom is now moving in with us this month. I've been pretty stressed out trying to finish Dentelle but deal with all that "life" throws at me. Wish I could give you a definite answer, but you know...
      Happy Reading!

  16. I just finished "Linked". I'm having so much fun with this series. I'm excited for "Dentelle"! I'm so glad that book two didn't end with Jason and the other Guardians telling Alex that Dentelles link for life. I for sure thought you were going to throw that wrench into the Alex/Jason/Ash love triangle. Keep up the fun writing!

  17. Just wanted to add that it has been a long time since I have read a book that makes me sneak off to the bathroom to read so I won't be disturbed. I was so into Alex's story that I found myself waking up early this morning to finish Linked. I love when books take over my life, even my sleeping habits. (I don't think my family likes it, but, it happens.)

    1. Dear Angeline,
Thanks for taking the time to let me know how much you enjoyed Alex's story. I also love when a book is so good I'm still trying to read it while cooking dinner or I'm making up any excuse to sneak off for a few minutes. Honestly, that's what I'm looking forward to the most after I get Dentelle published - just reading a good book. When I'm writing I completely cut myself off from reading other books because I want to stay focused and in the "Amethyst" world. But sometimes it feels like a punishment, especially when there are already so many books and so little time.
      thanks again! :)

  18. Hello,
I've just finished linked now, omg I love the series so far, before I knew it last night it was 1am, and I only had one chapter left to read but I had to force my self to put the book down and go to bed so I could get up with the kids lol. Jason and Lexi are so made for each other ♥I can't wait to read Dantelle!

    1. Hi Samantha,
Thanks a bunch for sharing your thoughts! Sometimes I go to bed around that 1am time because I've gotten so into the writing I just can't stop! Life is crazy right now...just moved my mom in and we have a neighborhood g-sale this weekend. But I am so close to finishing Dentelle. Will work on it next week and then a couple weeks for editing. So I am still shooting for an August release!

    1. Thank you so much! Dentelle is finished but still in the final editing stages. I'm estimating a couple more weeks. I have a friend editing who used to do that as a side job for authors...so it takes longer but makes the novel sooooo much better! I can't wait! I actually finished on July 22nd, and I walked outside for a breath of fresh air after writing the final sentence, and the moon was full and bright in the sky. It was so weird but so amazing. So, I checked the calendar, and sure enough, that was truly a full moon day! How ironic! How fitting!

    1. Hi Rianna!
Thanks so much for letting me know how much you enjoyed the series! I do have some ideas for a 4th book, but I'm on a major hiatus right now. Maybe some day.... But, when I can't fall asleep at night my mind is busy working on another, totally different series. We'll see what happens when I finally sit down to write. :) Happy Reading.
      thanks, Heather

  27. Love all three. Really hope a fourth Book does come out. Love the way you left it open with Neo. Please dont leave us hanging forever.

  28. Hi Catherine,
Thanks for stopping by! Sometimes at night when I can't sleep, I think about all the ways Neo could go down. And other times I think about a new character, in a new series set in the future.... During the day I've been so busy being a mom, chauffeur, and teacher I'm barely able to keep the house clean and dinners other than pizza on the table! Just know Neo is still lurking in the back of my mind...and I hope he gets what is coming to him one of these days.
thanks again for the comments, Heather Bowhay
